The Jargon File

1) A wotsit, oufa or douja.

2) A little plastic thing that clips on to the corner of an Amstrad CPC monitor to hold papers - typically "type in" listings - to solve the problem of, well, where to put your paper.  Similar contraptions exist for other devices and types of monitor, but none of the others were actually sold with the product name of "Thingy".
